Mise en scene p1

My group has decided to join me to buy jewelry for our artist King J, we all agreed that this would be important if we wanted out artist to look like a real Hip-Hop artist. So we went on Ebay, and Amazon to purchase some. We found a total of 3. One which had an A within a circle. Another was a cross which little diamond(doubt it was real cuz all three added up to $10 because it was order from america, which i paid for half and the others paid the other half. The last on was a ring which was black with silver in the middle.

Mood Board In the making

Yesterday we started our mood board, we decided to make it a 3d triangle to show our Artist "King J's" Record Label Triangle. We then included pictures that are true to hip hop including the cultures, artist, and other iconic iconography to our genre

Hip Hop brain storm

This is a brain storm draft that was made by Ghanshyam for ur genre hipop i will make a more detailed on later in the week.

More hip Hop Research

Rick Ross "Same Hoes" (WSHH Exclusive - Official Music Video)

The video showcases the iconic iconography of Hip Hop

This is the expensive clothes such as Versace, cars including Lamborghini, exotic beautiful half naked women and the show of the Artist "Rick Ross's" gang Maybach Empire. The songs meaning is little as the artist describes his sexual relationship and how it connects to other famous celebrities such as David Beckham and Justin Bieber. However it still stays true to genre with showing of expensive alcohol and the mansion and pool party.

Audience Profile 1st

For My groups artist King J, we have made him to be a pretty conventional hiphop artists. So when thinking of his target audience i would expect it to be in a age range of 14- to late twenties. I say this because his music can be quite explicit yet at the same time deep and inspirational. Due to his image he is also targeting the opposite gender. This is shown with love interest in all his songs. However in the music video we chose this may not be the case. That is because its a more deeper song that is talking about King Js past, so the music video will be target towards the more deep minded and mature audience.

More Research Music Video Research

I decided to go more into research about the genre of Rap/Hip Hop realising I didn't know as much as I thought about the genre even though I listen to this genre and a couple others quite frequently. So i went online looking for more genral information about Rap/Hip-Hop music Videos

This presentation was a Music Video Analysis from  Sophie Jvbell on a 50cent song

I then realised this wasn't the kind of information that I seemed so I went on looking for more and came upon

This was a presentation of a Music Video Analysis & Audience Research.  from Zoyia
Although it showed more information and possible ways my group could do our music videos with a new fresh concept from the original music video I still realised this wasn't the information I was looking for. I then asked myself whether the question I was asking was the issue. The question I was asking was "What are examples of Hip Hop music video analysis" I decided to change it to "Iconic values found in all Hip Hop Music Videos"
This brought me to something different that I could build upon.

Straight away I was seeing images of artist who i knew and were very iconic globally in the music genre. I then thought to follow more into it realising that the Hip Hop music genre had instead of evolving and change had instead expanded and become more modernised. This was realised by comparing music videos from the previous two presentations to the ones found on this site. I also got lots of help from the paragraph description of each video showing ways I could make my music video have more meaning and become more iconic. Now instead of showing you all 20 videos I will show you the top 3. however as a drake fan I may not agree with the order :)
