After much feedback from our peers and teacher, I took it upon ourselves to try and improve the editing of the film. This was to add onto the editing already done by my group member Ghanshaym. Originally we were told that many scenes become quite dull has the editing isn't creative. So to change this I suggested adding more cuts to the long takes to make it go along the beat of the song. This made it more interesting to watch as well as changed the flow of the song. We also added more footage to some long takes, so the audience isn't looking at the same scene for too long. James also came on board with Thomas. We worked together to improve the video.

Evaluation Question 3 - In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (Interview)

Interviewer: 'In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?'
Bobby Ezeoba: 'I felt that the media product my group created, our music video Day N Nite, did all three of those things. The rea-'
Interviewer: Wait, sorry to interrupt you, but your music video did all three what?'
Bobby Ezeoba: Oh, when i say all three, I mean my music video used, developed, and challenged the forms and conventions of real media products. As I was saying(chuckles) my music video "Day N Nite" is quite controversial to its hip hop genre. I say this in the sense that you don't see what you would normally see within the original music video. This is in the sense that is doesn't showcase women or wealth to an extreme extend or even the Kid Cudi's normal neighborhood. This was incorporated within our music video as we stepped out of the hegemonic norms for a hip-hop video. You didn't see women being glamoured or focused sexually. However it does use the some iconography from the hip hop genre. That can be seen in our artist, King J's appearance as he wears expensive clothing and owns an expensive car and has jewelry at times. Also in the fact that it showcases his home town within the music video. How it develops the genre however compared to the real thing is bringing more historical values to the song. This is portrayed with Greenwich university, and shots filmed near the Cutty Sark. In this way our music video develops the genre making it more than just glamouring a wealthy life style but showcasing the history of the city and not just of his town, which is done by location.

Magazine Advert improved
This is my new magazine advert, the difference between it and my previous are quite large as it looks more professional, and more unique.I had made the mistake think it was a front cover magazine. So i scraped my old one and created a new one trying to be as original and simple as possible. Although that didn't work because there is quite a number of text within it.

New shooting In greenwich
On Tuesday after school my group met in Plumbstead and then went later to Greenwich's famous attraction Cutty Sark/ Greenwich University to film. We wanted to use this change of scenery as a way to add some elegance to our music video. This was due to the historical and beautiful architecture which can be found there. Another, great benefit was that this was the first shoot we did without much day light. This contributed wonderfully because the songs called day and night and wouldn't be complete if not having at least one scene done in natural dark lighting. So it was very helpful to have these scenes to add to our music video overall increasing its authenticity.
Props and costume
I was in charge of the prop and costume for our film. So i wanted to add all the iconic values of a Hip-Hop to the video that i could. I thought to do this by getting jewellery such as ringsthat helped to make him look like richer than this past gang members.
I also had him where designer clothing to show that his lifestyle has improved as well as his standard of living. I got a variety of designer clothing that were well known brand and could be associated with an expensive lifestyle. Brands such as LV and Ralph Lauren

Costume for second shots
These are the costume props I chose for the shoot we had on last week. This shoot proved to be very successful as we had a lot of great shots during it. The location we used to shoot was within the same area near my house.

Completed DigiPack
Through the making of the digipack i ran through a numerous amount of issues which i had to first learn techniques from the simple magic wand and altering layers to add vivid effects such as a fade or decrease in saturation. I also learn how to imprint found images in my pictures making them my own. An example is adding barcodes, and a parental advisory sign to my digipack. It also involved a lot of editing and measuring which was very tedious to make my work look more authentic and precise. This was done by using simple techniques such as moving rulers down and side with photoshops rulers located on the left side and top. Although it proved difficult, i am very proud of my final product.
FeedBack Sheet
These feedback sheets were very helpful as they helped me to gain a better insight on how to improve my digipack and magazine cover.
